Wir, die Internationale Liste, stehen für eine hochschulpolitische Arbeit im Sinne aller Studierenden. In erster Linie sind uns die ausländischen Studierenden wichtig, welche die Ruhr Universität Bochum international stärken.
Wir möchten dem Campus mit interkulturellen Veranstaltungen ein kosmopolitisches Ambiente schaffen. Die Kontroversität politischer Diskurse ist für uns von solch herausragender Bedeutung, dass wir sie gewissenhaft pflegen werden.
Unsere interkulturelle Arbeit soll ebenso möglichst viele Studierende ansprechen und zusammenbringen. Es ist uns wichtig, dass man sich im Dialog miteinander befindet und sich so näher kennenlernen kann – ohne Berührungsängste.
Um dies bestmöglich umzusetzen, veranstalten wir regelmäßig (inter-) kulturelle Abende, wie beispielswese Konzerte, gesellschaftspolitische Vorträge, Poetry-Slams mit verschiedenen tollen Slammer*innen- oder unserem berühmten Campus Comedy Flash. Die Politik kommt bei uns ganz sicher nicht zu kurz. So sind wir derzeit im Referat für Politische Bildung vertreten und veranstalten dort gesellschaftskritische, interkulturelle Veranstaltungen, so wie Veranstaltungen über die allgemeine Politik im Lande.

Wofür stehen wir?
Die Internationale Liste erzielt mehr Demokratie, Internationalisierung und Umweltfreundlichkeit an der RUB, sowie die Verbesserung der Campuskultur.
Weiterhin werden Projekte zur Integrationsförderung der Studierenden mit Migrationshintergrund unterstützt.
Unsere Ziele sind in erster Linie, dass wir uns für die Probleme und Belange *aller* Studierenden einsetzen und kümmern uns beispielsweise für bessere Serviceeinrichtungen an der Uni. Wir arbeiten für die Interessen der Student*innen unter anderem im AStA (Allgemeiner Student#innenausschuss), im Studierenden Parlament (StuPa), in Fachschaften sowie in diversen studentischen Vereinigungen. Das “Internationale” an unserer Arbeit stellt die Völkerverständigung, der Beitrag zum Abbau von Vorurteilen und mehr Akzeptanz gegenüber anderen Kulturen und Mentalitäten. Dafür machen wir uns stark!
Unsere Arbeit im AAR
Neben den Wahlen zum Studierendenparlament treten wir auch zu den Wahlen zum autonomen Ausländer*innen-Referat (AAR) an. Das AAR ist die erste Anlaufstelle für ausländische Studierende, welche das Studium oder einen Teil ihres Studiums in Deutschland absolvieren möchten. Hier finden sie insbesondere Beratung zu ihrer Lebenslage.
Kulturelle Veranstaltungen bilden eine der Hauptaufgaben im AAR, ob es Musikkurse oder beispielweise Fußballtuniere sind. Im AAR werden auch ausländische Studierende durch den dafür vorgesehenen Hilfsfond finanziell unterstützt. Darüber hinaus bietet der AStA Deutschkurse an, mit deren Abschluss man in der BRD ein Studium aufnehmen darf.

We, the International List, advocate for university political work in the interest of all students. Our primary focus is on international students who contribute to strengthening Ruhr University Bochum on an international level.
We aim to create a cosmopolitan atmosphere on campus through intercultural events. The controversy of political discourses is of such outstanding importance to us that we will conscientiously nurture them.
Our intercultural work aims to appeal to and bring together as many students as possible. It is important to us that people engage in dialogue and get to know each other better—without reservations. To achieve this, we regularly organize intercultural events such as concerts, socio-political lectures, poetry slams with various talented slam poets, or our famous Campus Comedy Flash. Politics certainly plays a significant role for us. Currently, we are represented in the Department for Political Education and organize socially critical, intercultural events, as well as events on general politics in the country.

What do we stand for?
The International List aims to achieve more democracy, internationalization, and environmental friendliness at RUB, as well as improving campus culture.
We also support projects to promote the integration of students with a migration background.
Our primary goals include advocating for the problems and concerns of all students. We work towards better service facilities at the university and represent the interests of students in the AStA (General Student Committee), the Student Parliament (StuPa), in student councils, and various student associations. The „International“ aspect of our work involves promoting cross-cultural understanding, contributing to the reduction of prejudices, and fostering more acceptance of other cultures and mentalities. That’s what we stand for!
Our work in the AAR
In addition to the elections for the Student Parliament, we also participate in the elections for the autonomous Foreign Students‘ Office (AAR). The AAR is the first point of contact for foreign students who want to study or complete part of their studies in Germany. They receive advice, especially regarding their living situation.
Cultural events are one of the main tasks in the AAR, whether it’s music courses or, for example, football tournaments. Foreign students are also financially supported through the designated aid fund in the AAR. In addition, the AStA offers German courses, the completion of which allows students to study in Germany.
